## Description

In the war-scarred north of Syria something unexpected is emerging: hope. Amid ruins, threats and hardship, women in Rojava assert themselves with remarkable determination. They establish villages, teach children, set up workshops — and defend not only their lives but also a vision of freedom and equality. Director Robert Krieg shows everyday survival and the extraordinary courage toward self-empowerment in a region that receives little attention worldwide. A moving documentary about the quiet yet unstoppable rise of a new society — carried by women.
