Live from MET: Bellini "I Puritani"

When it comes to beautiful melodies, captivating coloratura, and virtuosic vocal displays, few operas can rival Bellini's I puritani. The story takes place in England during the Civil War between Royalists and Puritans. At its heart is the tragic love story of Elvira and Arturo, whose happiness is shattered by the conflict between love and political duty.
